A skid-mounted protable water reclamation plant invented by EcoNova, is creating interest with mining companies.
The transportable or NovaTainer systems have been installed at a number of mine sites to handle wastewater produced from workers accomodation, crib huts or cleanin/clean-out facilities.
Xstrata at Mt Isa has bought one of the units, which are produced commercially at EcoNovas Nambour factory, located on the Sunshine Coast. Because of the modular nature and compact size of the systems they are easily transported in kit form ready for the site installation and are well suited for remote locations.
EcoNova also produce ready-to-go, plug and play skit mounted units. The units are craned into position from a truck, plugged into the sewer and electrical supply and ready to start converting the incoming wastewater into recylced effluent.
The recycled effluent water isusually used for dust suppression or irrigation of revegetated areas at mine sites.
